History

Where it all began.

Via Milano, Parma.

16 April 1974:
two men walked fast, sly steps that had a clear direction. It was a joyful day, the kind that makes your legs shake. Gianfranco Magnani Dotti and Angelo Dondi stopped in front of the door of their new company: a small workshop with great ambitions.
Friends and old colleagues might say they had no hint of what the future would bring, yet they knew exactly which path to follow.
Their motto?
Look ahead, but keep your feet on the ground.

Where it all continued.

Via Campanini, Parma

1° August 1985. Someone wrote that the ship is safe in the port but that is not why ships are made. The turning point came in 1995: as Angelo Dondi left the company, Simona and Michele, respectively the daughter and cousin of Gian Franco, went into partnership with the founder.
Simona, the first woman hired by DOMA, was still working with one of the first commercially available computers, whereas Michele was employed in the technical office.
Under the guidance of Gian Franco, who would teach them what it means to be an entrepreneur, Simona and Michele started investing in new technologies with an eye to the future.

Where we are today.

Via Botteri, Parma

1° January 1998. The company moved for the third time, with the aim of growing the business and expanding the production area.
Now in its third generation, the company can count on 30 skilled workers and over 3,600 m2 of production area.
Mattia, Simona’s son, plays an active part in managing the organization and in continuing the family’s business story. He looks ahead to the future with hope and responsibility: his choices are guided by the knowledge that not everyone is lucky enough to love what they do.

My father has always had the ability to look forward, to grow the business and motivate its workers.
